I went for a walk one day and found these flowers in one of my neighbor’s garden. I find the colors and shapes so captivating that I thought these flowers deserve a spot here on my blog. One of the things I do with my photos before posting them is storing them in the queue folder. Then I start reflecting. I sit down and start writing what’s on my mind. Most of the time it’s a very spontaneous process.
However, I always seem to struggle a little bit on deciding what to write about flowers. They’re always beautiful. They’re always nice to look at. Everyone but the cantankerous and pessimists love them. What else to say?
Henry Tuckerman once declared:
“To analyze the charms of flowers is like dissecting music; it is one of those things which it is far better to enjoy, than to attempt to fully understand.”
Splendid thoughts on flowers Mr. Tuckerman! Thank you very much.
I couldn’t seem to find the exact word about my overall feeling on the subject and tone of this photo.
But this realization dawned on me:
When flowers bloom, they tell us that the most enchanting beauty is effortless.
Ladies (and also gentlemen), did you hear that?
